We enjoy a beautiful lake front vista, often taking meals on one of our three lake-facing porches or on our pier.

We are a great place for families. KIDS 12 and under eat free. We have a large indoor playroom and an outdoor swing set. Childcare is rarely hard to find.

We emphasize a socially conscious kitchen, mostly organic and local when possible.

Food co-opers pay $100/ month and do workjobs in the house. Food co-opers enjoy all of the food privileges of a full membership; they eat at every house meal and help themselves in the kitchen whenever they like.

About Ambrosia: We are a group of about 30 adults and children, living The Life together in this beautiful house. Not only do we immensely enjoy our lakefrontedness (swimming, canoeing, having bonfires on shore, eating on the pier, etc.), but we often enjoy one another’s company in our spacious and colorful kitchen as well.

Number of People: 30 adults and 3 children, on average.

Range of standard room costs: $250-$500.

Pet Policy: Limit of three cats and two dogs.

Current pet situation: Currently, three cats and two dogs. The pet quota is filled.

Type of food served: Vegetarian with a vegan option.

When are meals served: Sunday brunch at 12 noon, and dinner Monday through Saturday at 6pm.

Cost of food: $100/month per member.

Describe your neighborhood: Nestled behind Langdon Street, we live in a very diverse neighborhood on mansion hill among students, business professionals, other cooperatives, and everyone else in between.

Membership process (a summary): We require a minimum of three dinners, mandatory questions to be filled out and returned prior to a membership meeting.

Food membership option: Food Coopers pay $100 for full time food cooping and $50 for part time (dinners only).
